Challenges:
Founder Frank Melfa after working for a decade in the pharmaceutical industry decided to launch his passion project, FloraTummys, with a vision to make it one of the leading manufacturers of premium probiotics in the USA. However, branding and designing were not his strong suit, a key tool that could set his product apart from other competitors.
Approach:
Subjects like gut health and immunity that are a slam dunk with adults don’t matter much to children. So, when it comes to designing and marketing to kids, we went big and bold.
For the logo, we incorporated ‘flowers’ as our mascot. We used bold and curvy fonts and decorated them with hand-drawn flowers.
For packaging, we went with a clean design and simple layout with the occasional pop of colours. The overall idea was to create branding and website design that appeals to kids and makes adults feel like responsible parents for making the purchase.
